Two LRT rides a day

I have a meeting in KL today. I took an LRT to KLCC. When the train passed by Universiti, one elderly lady boarded the train. She promptly identified a 'victim' (or prey, if you will) and asked her if she has a constipation problem. She spoke in Cantonese. The prey refused to lay down and die, so she immediately 'lost' her ability to understand Chinese, which she indicated in English. Undaunted, the old lady switched to English. This time the prey could no longer use the same trick (she just responded in Enslish, she could not say she could not understand English.) She simply said something to the effect of no idea and no comment.

I on the other hand, went into sleep mode. 闭目养神/老“徒”(我是基督徒,不是和尚)入定。The old lady turned her attentioned to another unsuspecting young lady. This young lady though, treated the old lady with respect and dignity that she deserved, however inappropriate she may seem.

The chatted a bit. The old lady complained about her constipation problem. The yound lady offer some remedy and one doctor. The old lady said she has seen THAT doctor and it didn't work for her. The old lady wanted to know if the young lady knew how to do Buddhist chant so she could chant for her. I think the young lady is a Christian. The old lady requested the young lady to visit her. The young lady, to her credit, immediately took paper and pen from her purse and took down the address and the phone no.

Now, if YOU were the 'prey', how would you have responded? Would you have brushed her aside? Would you have taken this opportunity to show God's love which we talk so much about?

This actually happened.

Now, on the return trip. Something else occured. I will record them as a conversation.

(Lady went straight to the beginning of the line at the platform and chatted with another lady.)

我:你们会说华语?(with a smile, a charming one)
她:会。
我:你不会排队吗?说X来话或者Y尼话算了!

This DIDN'T actually happened. There was a lady cutting queue. And she spoke Chinese. But I didn't do my part to teach her a lesson.

When I have time and got nothing to do, I will capture all these queue cutters in action and distributed the VCDs for free. I will also publish them on the web.

YOU have been warned! Don't speak Chinese and cut queue.
